If you go to IWM photograph collections:
Imperial War Museum Collections Online Database
    and paste

    Weper Hermann

Into the search box (a Kriegsberichter).
You get a good set of colour glimpses of the Dunkirk aftermath.

Thanks for the link VP. Excellent photos indeed. One can only imagine that the Soldiers in those photos thought that the war was almost over, especially given the speed of the Allied retreat and subesquent withdrawal.

I tried chasing up this Weper Hermann chap on the interweb in my lunch 20 mins but there is very little out there. He is credited with another photo in the IWM collection and appears to have also served on the Eastern Front in ?1942. There is some general stuff on Kriegsberichter out there but it is dominated by various SS themed websites, which I feel slightly uneasy about perusing. No luck with Abe Books or Amazon and the like, so presumably no nice collections published uner his name or that of the Kriegsberichter in general. Shame, I would like to know more about people like this.

They intrigue me too H. Got the odd 'Signal!' profile on 'em, and some stuff in 'Ruckmarsch' if I recall but not much else.
Seem to remember from a while back that some of the Leica collector websites (of which there are many) had more, but we're talking a year or two since I last looked.
