    Hi

I found a pic online of what pertains to be 7 Platoon of A Company of 6 Para Btn in Greece in 1944.

Question is, if there are three platoons to a company, logic would suggest A company's platoons would be numbered 1, 2 and 3. B's, 4, 5, and 6 etc etc.

So how does A Company end up having 7 Platoon?

    Thanks in advance

    Gus

Officially, the rifle pl numbering followed on from the HQ Coy /Spt Coy pls.
