do you know who the artist is? bottom right of that illustration it says Zgonnik. Dmitriy Zgonnik RED LINE $MILITARY ART OF DMITRIY ZGONNIK$
These men are clearly Aufklärer or perhaps Kradschützen but certainly no Panzergrenadieren. For a start because the pic is from 1941 and the term Panzergrenadier was not adopted until 1942, but also because the term was never used for soldiers in recce battalions.
Same here, Aufklärer from the le. SPW Kompanie, Aufklärungsabteilung Grossdeutschland. These men were no Panzergrenadieren.
edited picture of a document. this SS-Panzergrenadier was awarded the "Panzerkampfabzeichen" "Kragenspiegel" of Mannschaften (PzGr. Insignia) do you need these for drawing?? if positive then i guess the piv above will help you the most as you can identify the diferent items of a common panzergrenadiers kit.
From Panzer Grenadiers - Google Image Search Regards Tom Notice the entrenching shovel on the belt of the soldier standing on the right. He has it attached to the front of his belt. I suspect this might help when sitting in an SPW. I've noticed a similar pattern in the US Armored Infantry Battalions but I can't be sure.
Just looking through the pictures that have come up under the search "Panzergrenadier" and all manner of uniforms abound. Certainly there is a huge difference between early and late war infantry uniforms. Almost like looking at 2 different armies. Great pics though lads.
