I've been asked to research the service record of Patrick McMorrow who served in the RA during WW2 (havinf served in the Connaught Rangers during WW1).

Never really done this before, any suggestions?

    Cheers

One of my favourite questions is - what do you already know about " Patrick McMorrow who served in the RA during WW2"

Where did the info come from? - Is it in a book or a photo or whatever?? If so, copy & paste what you have to the thread to see where that info leads with some of the researchers on here.

Do you have his service number and / or full name and place of birth.

Anything you can provide will help.

Not a common surname - only hit on the London Gazette is:

    No. '6985621 Lance-Corporal Thomas McMoRROW,
    The Royal Scots Fusiliers (Sligo).

Apparently not a lot!! It's for my boss at work, it's her Grand-father, after I had posted the question, she informed me she had got the Regt wrong, he was a Sapper, not a Gunner. Also, he was Born in Sligo.

He must have been in his 40's as he was in the Connaught Rangers during WW1.

Still, you can't win them all!:D

    Any help would be appreciated.
