    Hi to everyone,

I am researching an Indian Army Officer who was Mentioned in Despatches for his services with Paiforce. Would this service have qualified for the award of the 1939-45 Star?

    Regards
    Ron.

My friend doesn't remember him but he said Paiforce was a big organisation.
He would have got all the usual medals though.

Hello everyone. I'm trying to get information on my late father. His name is Ambrose George Whiting (nicknamed Nobby) He enlisted with the R E, and served in Paiforce from October 1942. His Service Records show something called I W T org and I cannot confirm what this means. My father passed away without talking about his time there and I am trying to find out more.

    Many thanks.

Cos the thread starter put it there.
I'll move it to British Indian Army subforum as that's what thread starter was asking about.
