Operation 'EX EUREKA'

The October 1943 War Diary of 4th Durham Survey Regiment RA includes reference to operation "Ex Eureka'

Where can I find more information about this operation

Subsequent WD entries show that this was the return of troops to Uk who were to be participate in the Normandy Landings.


Interested in finding out which regiments were included

I read that as Exercise EUREKA, which may have been quite a discreet exercise within the formation - perhaps try 5 AGRA's War Diaries.

If it was the movement back to the UK before D-Day, not that I am an expert on this, most of the divisions came from Italy.

NAM has this, but covers all the Allies:
