    Hi
I am researching 9th Borders and 3/1 Gurkhas in the fighting for OP Hill, south-west of Bishenpur, in the battle of Imphal in May 1944. I am looking for any detailed accounts of the battle.

I have the War Diaries for 9 Borders and have been through the IWM Oral Histories but there is not a great deal there. Does anyone have any of the books below - if so could you check if there is anything on OP Hill in it.

    B Company - Raymond Cooper

Black Cats and Bush Hats - AL Griffiths

There is also mention of an 'Unofficial History of 9th Border', by Sgt Hutchinson, Intelligence Sgt in 9th Border. Does anyone know where to find this?

    Thanks

    Thanks

If I'm not wrong, it is 1/3rd Gurkha Rifles than fought in that area, not the 3/1st Gurkha Rifles.
