I’m heading to Noyers-Bocage in July to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Operation Pomegranate, where my grandfather was injured/reported missing whilst serving in the 2/6th South Staffordshire Regiment,. I’ve been able to obtain the regiments War Diary from July 1944, so have a rough idea of landmarks, but much of the village was decimated. A long shot, but would anybody happen to know the exact location of where train station once stood, or know any more detail about the knocked out Panther tank in this photo at all please?
