    Hi
I have a relative who has sent me a picture of No 10 Selection and Holding Company taken in Enghien, Belgium some time in either 1944 or 45. He was an army PTI Sergeant and his army number is in the Royal Artillery batch range but I know nothing more than that.
I am pretty sure they were a unit that collected troops from various units that had been either replacements or returning soldiers from injury etc so that they could be re-trained before being posted to a specific unit.
I would like to find out more about this unit specifically but I would like to increase my knowledge of Holding Battalions as a whole.

    Many thanks in advance

Thanks for the info. I see there is a No 2 training team (Belgium) on the list. Could be part of that?

    Hi Clive.
I will let the family know that they can apply for his records. I guess it is one of many smaller units that made up the big picture.

    Regards
    Bob

I will have to contact the National Archives to see a copy of the document. I went there years ago but I live in Cornwall now so a bit difficult to do.
    Regards

You might be better off speaking with members Drew5233 or PsyWar.Org who both offer a copying service but obviously its difficult at present
