I hope someone here can help you! If not, you might want to get in touch with fellow Arnhem area resident R G Poulussen on twitter who has researched the operation a lot and written two books. (@rgpoulussen)
Dear canton75, have you seen/listened to these? Steve Morgan is sadly no longer with us, but at least we have his account courtesy of youtube. Always remember, never forget, Jim
Hi Canton 75 Welcome to the Forum. I parachuted onto the Ginkel Heide a great many times between 1965 and 1984. This was as part of the annual Commemorative Jump by 10th (Vol) Battalion Parachute Regiment. There is a Face Book Page dedicated to the wartime 10th Battalion with many personal stories of the battle. There are several Dutch contributors. Friends of the Tenth The Tenth Battalions War Diaries were allegedly buried when the last defenders of their position were about to be overrun, They have never been found, maybe best to leave them as it was said they were Booby trapped with a couple of Grenades
Hi Canton 75, Welcome! Here is one to get you started; not a War Diary but a POW record for Driver Percival Batsford 250th (Airborne) Light Composite Company, Royal Army Service Corps, 1st Airborne Division. View attachment 298211 Regards Bruneval
Yes ... but main interest is post OMG (Over-Betuwe Oct 1944 and Rhineland and Rhine Crossing Feb & March 1945) ... the detour around Arnhem ... so to say .
