IMG_9205.JPG Some recent reads and buys, the two Folio Society books, secondhand and unread via eBay, "Great Contemporaries" as the 50 year + old paperback has been well read but will still be kept, the shop it came from is now a " nail bar".
Monty's Memoir, also from eBay, for a pittance.
"Wolfpack" and "The Hiroshima Men" from a Waterstone's branch close to my eldest lass's place in Edinburgh, both are excellent page turners.

I'm moving 27 Banker Boxes of books to Good Will for reintroduction into the collective pool. (I volunteered at Good Will while I was in grad school.)

And which Good Will store will receive these books? Asking for a friend.

Metropolitan Florissant, Mo., (Yes, that's a joke.)

All boxes moved, two Jutland books to be mailed.
If you're a Pearl Harbor, or WWII in general, you would be very smug on your way home from there. "Magic Background to Pearl Harbor", all volumes, for example.

BTW, a lot of that material is online. Ibiblio.org/pha for starters. Nearly twenty years of work on the attack in there.

Highly recommended. Virtually all of Jack Didden’s books are excellent, and I own them all. This volume on the 1st Polish Armoured Division is simply the finest work available on the subject, maintaining the author’s consistently high standard of writing.

One for my Kindle, so none of that wonderful smell and touch of yer actual book, but cheap at £1.99 so had to snap it up. Personal stories from soldiers of the Durham Light Infantry.

Jonathan Ball It's a way of life.

Picked up a copy and had the nice surprise of finding it was a copy signed by Adrian Seligman and a comrade from the Levant Schooner Flotilla, Reg Osborn.

Does this cover the same era as No Stars To Guide?

I have a 1947 edition I inherited from my great uncle who was in the merchant navy.
