I’m researching my Grandfather Robert Hugh Hughes time in the 8th Medium Regiment, Royal Artillery, 247th Battery. I have a little snippets of information where they were at the battle for Imphal supporting 20th Indian Division and also that they were at Meiktila. But i have limited knowledge of their role there. I was on the verge of applying for his death certificate to gain his military records before Covid-19 put us in lockdown. I do have his tracer card which I’ve linked. I also have a summary of their movements all be it quite vague linked too from a page from Farndale’s book of the history of the RA in the Far East. Thanks for any information possible in advance.
