Hi from Australia, My father was a Bombardiet in the Royal Artillery, I have only one sheet of paper with little information, and I am hoping to find out more. He was enlisted into the Royal Artillery embodied Territorial Army and posted to 21st. Medium & Heavy Training Regiment in 1941. Posted to 30 Reinforcement Holding Unit in 18-08-44 Posted to 21 Anti-Tank Regiment 07-10-44 Discharged- reason: Ceasing to Fulfil Army Medical Requirements (ie. mine injury losing left leg ) 03-03-1946 Overseas Service: North West Europe 19-06-44--06-07-44--and 18-08-44--02-05-45 Hope to find out more, Cheers, conibear
Re-apply to the MoD & get his full service records , which will be copies of the actual records themselves. Here's ref numbers for 21 Antitank Regt war diaries. Some members can copy them for you.
