I've also got a googleearth representation of the cemeteries complete/incomplete:

    http://www.corpsofmilitarypolice.org/media/cmp-cemeteries.kmz

Very nice site, I think I have a couple I can post soon,
    from Klagenfurt and then Udine.

Dumb question though.... I have seen these 'kmz' files kicking around
in the internet before, what kind of program do you need to open them up ?

The kmz file is a markup for describing locations. You can download a free program called Google Earth to view the file:

    Google Earth

The idea is that you can view various "layers" that may be of interest e.g. there are layers for roads/railways/restaurants points of interest. You can "fly" to different locations and zoom in. Have a look at Map the Fallen which maps all the casualties in Iraq/Afghanistan and links them to their home town.
