The Mods & Myself can scan through new photos that have been added to people's albums. It's a tool for spotting anything naughty.

I feel a fair few nice sets get buried, either because new chaps haven't quite worked out how the forums work, or they're buried in threads, so I thought I'd periodically note any sets or photos that catch my eye on here - the albums are public anyway, and often contain questions relating to the shots.
Do feel free to 'Advertise' your User Albums on this thread.
(And if you don't want your album mentioned for some reason, just give me a shout and I'll remove the reference.)

I have my grandad's photo album from his time in Japan ( 1945-47 ) including images of Nagasaki and Hiroshima and I think they may be of interest, if I scan them how do I create an album?

Click on your own username to go to your profile page - the one where your Visitor messages are. On the right-hand side is a list under headings:
Mini Stats, Friends and then ALBUMS.

If the box isn't fully open, click on the two little arrowheads next to that text, and you should see ADD ALBUM underlined in the box.

Click on that link to proceed … instructions fairly straightforward after that.

Thank you for sharing 'em Lesley.
Wish there was a more direct way of highlighting Albums as there's some great stuff slightly buried.

It is of course possible that there is, and I just haven't found the switch yet.

I presume these are mostly scanned photographs of postcards? Are the ones at the beginning of Pearl Harbour after the Japanese attack?

I've pinned this thread, as I still can't work out a way to more easily promote the Albums people have on their profiles.
There really is some cracking stuff, but it's a little buried, and don't forget you can comment on the pictures.
I'll add a front page link to this thread too.

The Gallery is dead, for a variety of reasons, and there are security concerns over the plug-in that it uses.
The Profile Albums seem to be the next best thing, and if people feel the need I'm happy to consider expanding the maximum numbers of pictures people can upload.

So if you've got some Albums, presumably you mean to share 'em, so feel free to list 'em here.

Suppose I ought to add a link to my own having said that  :

Yes the first lot of pictures are of Pearl Harbour,as for them being scanned photos of postcards i can't really clarify that as they were originally sent to my uncle from a friend of his who is in the RAF and Rob sent them onto me has he knows i am interested in ww2 and whatever they are i think they are good photos.
