They could likely help you if you haven't got the answers by now. I believe that the Royal Canadian Dragoons is a separate Regiment from the 12th Manitoba Dragoons. I think the Royal Cdn Dragoons were based in British Columbia, however, I'm far from an expert.
You're quite right, Kathie - both units were armoured car regiments, but RCD was from British Columbia and spent most of their active service during the war in Italy.
