Local Council, Civilian Casualty Burial Authorisation Costs

    Civilian War Deaths : (1) That arising out of a letter dated 31st July, 1944, received from the Ministry of Health, the Surveyor be authorised in cases where the burial arrangements are to be made by the Council to carry out burials of civilians killed by enemy action in common graves at any of the Council's cemeteries or burial grounds, and that expenditure incurred in excess of £10 (the amount granted by the Ministry) be met out of General Rate Fund, provided that burials be carried out in classified graves in cases where the grave is purchased by the relatives. (2) That upon the report of the Surveyor, no further action be taken in the matter of providing a chapel near the Harrow Weald Cemetery
