    Hello members,
I recently bought the 1939-1945 Star/France and Germany/Defence/War Medal 1939-45/General Service Medal clasp Palestine 1945-48 named CAPT. D. A. LAWSON R.S. From various sources including Ancestry and Forces War Records I've found out the following. Am I right that only the 4/5th and 6th Battalions of the Royal Scots Fusiliers were in NW Europe on 1st December 1944 when he was wounded? The battalion isn't listed on the casualty list. Also would anyone have the war diaries for these two battalions of the Royal Scots Fusiliers and if so could please could you let me know if Lieutenant Lawson is mentioned. Thanks very much to anyone who can help.

Looks as though he may have been with the 4/5th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers. I'll ask if anyone has the the war diary.
