    Hello guys!

I would like some help. This bayonet is for sale here in Sweden, and the guy that owns it says the bayonet is 100% original, but the "leibstandarte" text might have been done by a soldier, and not by SS. But he's not sure. I just wonder, is there any K98 bayonets that looks like this? I mean, originally of course. Did the Leibstandarte have it's own bayonets?

    Thanks, Michael

It's an original K98 Bayonet , but the inscription on the blade is post war , a few of these circulate around the Militaria and collectors market, they are only worth the price of a normal K 98 not the ridiculous money some people try to sell them at as war time original LSSAH. :D

Okey, thank you very much for that information! He was actually trying to sell at a "ridiculous price" to me. Good thing I asked here first. But how can you be so sure that the inscription is post war? Did it even exist LSSAH bayonets like this?

    Thanks, Michael
