I am researching my fathers Naval record (just received) and have found out that he was on 7050 from April '44 to July '45. My father never said much about his service although I knew he was very proud to have been involved in Operation Neptune. I seem to remember him saying that his ship was delayed and he only arrived in France on +1. Does anyone know anything of this?
I have also found an original typed press relief and photo of the battle at Westkapelle, where LCT's landed the Commandos in Nov 1944. I guess he had these for a reason, som assuming he was there.
Thanks for any information you can provide
    Kevin
