    Hi Stefan

Glad you enjoyed it. I didn't realise you have a Guernsey week that is brilliant. What dates do you have Guernsey Week? If you want a fun fact to tell them Castle Cornet in Guernsey is the only Castle in the British Isles to have been attacked by the RAF.

Hope all is well with you.

I am fine, it is sunny today and this Afternoon at the former OFLAG Vb, I will indeed ask the question: Which castle on the islands was attacked by the RAF?
Present are visitors from Guernsey and Biberach.
    Stefan.

    Hello Stefan,

Given your current visitors you may like to share a viewing of this with them.

Reel one: A "home movie" that I can best describe as a "Kriegsmarine tour of the Channel Islands". And on topic there is even a brief glimpse of Castle Cornet around four minutes in.

I find it fascinating footage (and Nick I guess that you will already have seen it before) and the other reels "sur la continent" no less so.

A glimpse of the not too distant past, and if the footage is something new to you then all the better.

    Kind regards, always,

    Jim.

    Hi Jim,

    a really fascinating film document.
    many places look like today.
And everybody seems to have fun.
I wonder what the Kriegsmarine officers told their families back home after the war.

I am so glad that we are friends today.

    Stefan.

At the visit of the former OFLAG Vb today with about 75 local people I was thinking what if these 75 were deported next week to a country far away and divided into huts for woman and men.

On 6th November I have another chance and will also talk about the late Tom Remfrey who i saw last April in good spirit.
I will also show the copy of the deportation order for Thomas Alexander Remfrey and five family members by Oberst Knackfuss incl. an explanation of the Fuehrer.
    Cheers
    Stefan.
