Hi all, Father was in 34 LAA Regiment in North Africa and transferred into 42 LAA Regiment, when he was in Italy. Oxford Die Cast have a model of the truck that he would have driven, which is modelled for 42 LAA in Libya (photo on their website). My question is would the driver have been the gunner as well, or would he have had one or more gunners with him in the truck? Thanks, Gordon
Drivers had separate responsibilities from the gun numbers, so under normal circumstances his priority would be looking after the AA tractor. Gary
