Hi, my Grandfather - John Owain Donald Davies (k.a. Don) served with the Royal Signals and was attached to the HQ Squadron, 4th Coldstream Guards, as a wireless operator. He spoke of seeing action in a tank. I’ve seen lists of tank names for the squadron and battalion and I’d like to know which tank he is likely to have served in. I suspect it may be SEAGULL, the adjutants tank, but can anyone confirm?

Yes, I’ve seen this thread, some great stuff on there but unfortunately, no photo of the seagull crew, in a similar fashion to the one shown of Eagle crew.
I’ve seen a listing somewhere, I think it was via a link on a thread in This forum, that listed all the ranks in each tank. I can’t find that link now (annoyingly) but it stated there would have been a signals operator in the adjutants tank. If someone can confirm this then it’s a good chance he was in seagull. If someone has a photo of the seagull crew, that would be epic!
