I had mentioned Road to Stalingrad to Stolpi in another thread as a book that is good to study in order to understand The opening phases of Barbarossa, and then I began to think that maybe it has been surpassed by other works due to it being published so long ago. So, I suppose I'm asking, would you view these books as being "Ones for the Ostfront Bookshelf" or have they been replaced by other newer works? what say you?
Given that 'Stalingrad' was published in 1975 and 'Berlin' in 1983 I think we can regard them as outdated. I had the pleasure of seeing a public lecture by JE in about 1981 and very good he was too.
