    Hello!
My friend found this Japanese Sabre so he says. I've looked online and found that it is a Type 32 NCO Sabre. It is said he got it from the Kokoda Track Campaign. I was wondering if I could find out any information on the sword for him. Serial Number on the cover is 23392, also inspectors mark on the grip possibly?

What is your interest in finding out the information?
    do you have more photos
It is said he got it from "Kokoda Track Campaign" who said that family or is it your friend?
Assume your friend is nearly 100 years old?

Yeah I kinda screwed up the wording
His relative found this in an attic of a grandparent. His great grandfather served in the Kokoda Track Campaign.
I'm trying to find out anything about it, the markings, when it was made, etc.

Unless forum members can help it might be an idea to contact a collector who would be able to offer more advice

Maybe worth asking over here Japanese Militaria (warrelics.eu) its probably better suited - if you do ask elsewhere and get any useful feedback could you please add to this thread as it will be interesting to learn more (as well as see some more photos showing the full thing)
