Hi, I am researching James Reginald Rollin who was a regular officer with the 2nd Battalion South Wales Borderers. Lt. 1931, Capt. 1939 and Major 1941.
I wondered if anyone has any information placing him with 2nd S.W.B. in Norway and/or Normandy?

Casualty list shows he was wounded 21st November 1944 presumably in Holland. Was he with S.W.B. and if so what were they doing at that time?

The reason I am not sure he was with the S.W.B. is a newspaper article which places him as S. W. B. but 2nd in Command of 7th Duke of Wellington's in Germany in summer of 1945 .By September 1945 he was a Lt. Colonel and Ass. Adjutant/Quartermaster of 45th West Riding Division.

I have found masses of pre war and post war information but the war years are elusive. Would appreciate any help to fill the gaps.
    Dave
