Has anybody got any of the Maps of the Gothic Line area in 1:50,000 (Sheet 109 I, II, III, IV) or 1:25,000 (Sheet 109 I NE,NW,SE,SW, Sheet 109 II NE,NW,SE,SW), I am researching a book on the I Canadian Corps and 21st Tank Brigade in the battle of the Gothic Line. I want to assemble a complete set of maps on a proper grid and then overlay the various roads, map refs, points, rivers etc.
I am looking for digital pics or photocopies, not for original copies unless no other options exist.

One correction should be noted on Map of The Italian Front of 11 May - which was correct at time - however someone at Army HQ light bulb came on then it was realized
that the NZ Division were still exhausted from Battle of Cassino #3 and so they were replaced by 1st Canadian Div - both 5th Cdn AD and the KIWI's joined at Ceprano

    Cheers

The Italian milary maps from IGM i(Istituto Geografico Militare) n 1:25000 are viewable on line at .:: Geoportale Nazionale ::. but the interface is awful.
To make a long story short you need to position yourself on the area you want and the select first Immagini from the menu at the top of the page and then Carta IGM scala 1:25000 after a few seconds you get the map.

You can also buy them at the IGM store Catalogo Istituto Geografico Militare (messy interface there too) look for the 25v series (old maps) not the 25 series (current with up to date data) and select the one closest to 1944. AFAK the maps the allies used were the IGM ones but never found out the story behind it (there should have been plenty of full map sets in bases in southern Italy).

Are these the ones you are looking for? looks a bit too much south to me and not sure the IGM map numbers are the ones the allies used.

An alternate site to buy from, it's got an English interface:
Catalogo Carte IGM - Serie 25 - in scala 1:25.000 you need to scroll using the arrows to get to sheet 109.
