Why via a PM? surely the forum is the place to exchange information? If its your copyright or IP.

I am interested in these topics and have publishged stories about the British heroes at Pointe Du Hoc and the British soldiers buried on Omaha Beach. .

Well said Frank. All information should be shared on the forum. I sometimes post, but most of the time I read, simply because I enjoy learning about things I did not know (like the Brits at Point du Hoc). I'm sure most people on the forum are the same. There is nothing more annoying than when someone answers a post with "I've sent you a PM". I'd like to know what the PM said! Thankfully, that doesn't happen too much on this forum, and I'd suggest we try and keep it that way.

    Cheers,

    Shaun

I don't really think there is any need for that type of comment here on the forum.

We get new members posting on the forum once, maybe a few times and then never post again, who knows why. They have obviously got their own reasons, and to be honest it doesn't bother me at all- I just move on and don't make stupid comments like you have just done.

    Well, dear Lesley,

All I did was agree with two other replies from people who have posted far more than I.

Thank you for calling me 'stupid'. Makes me feel ever so welcome.

    Ta.

The forum is the platform for the exchange of information

I cannot see the use of PMs other than if the information is sensitive to individuals.Even so there is an abundance of information within the public domain which requires guidance to retrieve.
