Hi, I have started investigating my late father's (1920 - 1993) WWII service record. I have requested records from both the RAF and the National Archives at Kew, but I fully expect that I shall be requesting many additional documents over the following months/years. My intention is to extract the relevant information from these documents and build a single biographical account of his war life. In brief, he served in the RAF in India from April 1940 to May 1944, and then transferred to Ceylon until April 1946. On release, his rank was Leading Aircraftman and his trade was Aircraft Handling.

I suspect that you will find the release book has his trade as Aircrafthand (ACH) rather than Aircraft Handling.
