Welcome to the forum.You must have an interesting tales to relate regarding your ops and captivity No 458 (Australian) Squadron had a brief career with Bomber Command, No 4 Group operating out Holme on Spalding Moor airfield before it was transferred to the Middle East.One of those squadrons in its four years of existence only operated one aircraft type...the Wimpy. Despite its brief stay at Holme with Bomber Command,the squadron is still remembered by mementos maintained by a business based on the airfield.
