Hi I have been researching my grandads service in WW2. It says on his service record he received injuries to his arm on the 30th January 1946.

I got the war diary pages for the Cameron Highlanders in 1946 and it lists a M.T. accident on the 28th January 1946.

In his service records their is no other information about his injuries. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice to see if I could uncover any further details of the incident? Or a way of looking for medical records?

    Thanks

    Chris

Sorry but MOD don’t usually release any medical information until the 116th anniversary of the subject’s birth is passed.

However you could try making an application under Freedom of Information Act for specific details of the incident you are interested in.

Hi thank you for the information Steve.

I will have a look into doing a Freedom of Information request.

    Many thanks.
