    From my local Newspaper:

At any birthday Inge felt that this is a day of triumph, “while the thugs which wanted to kill me are long dead, and I am still alive.”

In 1941 she was employed in the workshop for blinds by Otto Weidt. He hated the Nazis. All women working there loved him and called him Papa.

The working- class family Gumz were hiding her mother and Inge in their apartment up until 1945. Frau Gumz: “ Take off the yellow star and stay with us.”
