Indian Army Entertainment - FDS

I'm researching how Indian troops were entertained and have come across an organisation that was set up in early 1944, Fauji Dilkhush Sabha (FDS) in India as an ENSA equivalent. TNA Army Welfare records shows that several of these FDS units toured Italy and Greece during 1944/5. See https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/newspapers/digitised/article/maltribune19470521-1.2.62

Has anyone come across any references to the FDS in this context? Any photos people are aware of?

Hi Matt,
You will find a fair amount of information amongst the files in the Indian National Archives - War Diaries listing entertainments and films put on for the troops, letters to the Princely States asking for entertainers, jugglers and dancing troupes etc to augment the FDS efforts etc etc.

No problems! I searched under "entertainment troops" and separately also under "Fauji Dilkhush Sabha". No doubt, other key words will bring up their own delights.

Edited to add that is is also worth checking the War Diaries (at Kew) for the Indian POW Reception Centres for 1945/46 as I recall seeing in one of those that they brought in Indian entertainers and films on an organised and regular basis.
