How to read captions in German photos/Help in reading photo captions.

    In general, the meaning of the text is clear. 79.jpg 80.jpg


    Help to make out the underlined word.

    Maybe all the same it will be right?

    Leichenbegängnis is in fact correct - haven't heard this old word in a long time

    Without the German uniforms, I wouldn't even be able to tell what language it is....

    Do you have a rough translation for the rest of the text?
    Deciphering Sütterlin is truly not my supreme discipline.

    Almost the entire text was deciphered with the exception of two words. 20.jpg

    zerrissener 257. "danks" (or something similar) zwischen trocken u. ???
    I suppose the last two words could be place names instead
    But either way, the first part of the sentence makes absolutely no sense in context
