    Hello,
on September 10, 1944, the battleship Warspite bombarded several coastal batteries around Le Havre. I try to identify the objectives that I find designated by the letters A, B, C, D. A is clearly the Grand Clos / Clos des Ronces battery but for the others I have no certainty.
    Any help will be welcome.
    Thanks in advance
    Claude

    Anything in:
Does this help? Well it does identify the batteries:
    From: Smashing Hitler’s Atlantic Wall

Skimmed through threads here on Le Havre and Warspite none provide the details sought. I fear it is a library you need or the official ship's log.

I know this book. The bombardment of Le Havre is just mentioned there but without precision. The most interesting book is "Battleship Warspite" by Tarrant with good details : shooting times, number of shells fired by target but no precise identification of targets. I know what were the targets but I am not really sure ! So I am looking for help !
I tried to order the Warspite logbook for September 10 1944 but any order seems impossible on the Nationalarchives site.

    martin75,

Perhaps worth an email to Iain @ Helion?
