Paul, I would say not him......... problem is angles and not quite clear picso_O of faces can make a positive match difficult

As you rightly say Jason, they COULD be but it's very difficult to be absolutely sure . I just wish that when these people had their pictures taken they would've written their names on the pics, clearly!!
Did they not realise how much frustration they would cause to future generations??:lol:

Philip, do you have any pics of SJ Pratt that we could compare??

One way to find out might be to have sneaky look at the book in Smiths or Waterstones, it may name the people in the picture.
Failing that, the guy on the far left bears a resemblance to Pvt Graham "Bluey" Scopes or possibly Pvt Jeff Mitchell. Have a look at the picture below and see what you think.
    All the best.............:)

As promised the pic I mentioned earlier The Battle of Arnhem Archive
[IMG] Now the guy third from left is PTE Joseph Gray 11th Parachute Battalion but given the link im gonna post after this who are the others? Here is the link and the author of the book would I assume be one of the guys on the cover but if you read the reviews it tells you a bit more. To the Limits of Endurance: An Irishman's War: Amazon.co.uk: Jack Harte, Sandra Mara, seán o'keeffe: Books

I send this picture to the Arnhem archive with a part of the story of Joseph. Later it was updated with many more details.
This picture was a original Picture which I got from Jospeh "Paddy" Gray somewhere in the early '90's. He send it to me. He couldn't remember who the other persons are. Somewhere I have a scan of the backside. (I can't find it on the moment)On the backside was something written and I believe it was mentioned the places where the other soldiers where living on that moment. I will look where the scan is. But maybe the new owner of the picture is also on the forum and can tell what is written on it. For sure, it says that the picture is taken on the island of cos.

Paul, Thanks for the extra info........ I reckon its 'Bluey Scopes' you refer to on the left of the pic and I bought the book in question on Ebay yesterday:D looks really good and im curious as to the pics connection to the Author being as it mentions the RIF and SBS but not the paras in the blurb about the book. Ramon thanks for the input mate I was pretty sure it was Cos, given that I know the 11th Battalion were there with a company and also the SBS, be good if somone could come up with further info as you say and I would appreciate it if you do find the scan and can post what is on the back. All the best Jason.

    RE or RA capbadge?
Trouble is if you look at the pic in Pauls post one the guy in question does not appear to have either a RA or RE badge as opposed to the Sankey pic I posted.
