Does anyone have a photograph of any the graves of these brave men (see link and attachment below), all alumni of Emanuel School in Battersea, London, who were killed in WW2? I would be most grateful if you would share it with me as I am co-curating an exhibition at the School in 2014 and would like to create a wall dedicated to their final resting places. I know some of them are remembered on memorials only, as their bodies were never recovered.

Your help would be very much appreciated. I'm carrying out this project without any funding but I want to remember a remarkable generation's sacrifice.

    Thank you.

    Emanuel,
It would be much easier for members to help if you could summarise the wargraves by Country and (in UK) by County. Saves a lot of searching to find if you can help or not.
    Admirable project by the way.

    THE BATTLE OF BARKING CREEK
It was on the third day of the war, 6th September 1939, that the "Battle of Barking Creek" took place. The first fighter pilot to be killed in WWII died here after taking off from North Weald. He is buried in the local parish churchyard.

This is a list of the cemeteries/memorials in which the individuals I am looking for either rest or are remembered. Please see my first post on this thread for a comprehensive list of names and grave/panel reference numbers in a word doc.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.
