    Hi Angie,

Looks like John was in 261 Airborne Field Park RE from 14-4 45 I have his name on my database....

I'd check your dates. My reading of his records indicate that he qualified as a parachutist in Dec '42/Jan '43 before going to North Africa. He was also part of the 1st Airborne Seaborne Tail for Market Garden in August/October 1944.

All I know is looking at the sheets the 1st mention of "Airborne" was May '43 although he did do a parachute course Dec '42/Jan '43.
Tom - do you mean a photo of my Grandad John? I have 3 pictures of him in uniform unfortunately undated so obviously they were taken sometime between '40 - '46. I post them if you want.

Not overly sure about picture 3. It is my grandad on far right (stood up) but not sure this was an Army photo as the uniform is totally different. Wondered if it was the boys brigade - although saying that they look a bit too old to be in the boys brigade (ha ha ha)

Noticed these have come out very small and not very clear. will try and tweak them and see if they come out better.
