Help deciphering ww2 diary entry

    My grandfather kept a small personal diary during 1945 when he was in and around Italy. Every entry is legible apart from the one enclosed. I wonder if anyone could offer any suggestions what it says? I have wondered if it has been written in German or Italian maybe but not sure!

    The second word could be freund - friend?? Not sure on the rest sorry.

    Rather German (capitals) than Italian (not enough vowels).
    Doubt "freund" as it is a noun and should be written with a capital letter.

    Translating and deciphering handwriting always works better with context.
