I have unearthed this tatty photograph which must have been taken some time after April 1945. I have no information about it other than that the reverse is stamped Hamburg Flughaven. It appears to show either a pre-flight or post-flight briefing of RAF and perhaps commercial airline personnel. It may be related to the Berlin Airlift or, it may not. Any thoughts would be welcome.
It looks to me that the airfield is Hamburg Fuhlsbuttel which was a civilian airport and deemed by the Germans to be "international" from 1932. It was adapted for the Luftwaffe in 1936 -37 and was defended with heavy and light Flak guns during the war against the frequent B.C.raids on Hamburg and the Hamburg area.I would think that the Flak defences were increased after the July 1943 heavy raids on Hamburg. The group shown I think are BEA (British European Airways) personnel...a man is shown wearing a BEA aircrew brevit. This photograph was probably taken in 1946 when BEA using Daks laid on a service from Croydon and Northolt to Hamburg Fuhlisbuttel. From there on to RAF Gatow. Apparently some of these flights were flown by BEA personnel with Daks of RAF Transport Command. Fuhlisbuttel remains as Hamburg's International Airport.
