My name is Steve. I served in the US Army as a Calvary Scout from 84-91. I served in Germany with the 8th Infantry Divsion. I also served attached to the 11th ACR at OP's Romeo & India. I currently live in Eugene, Oregon (US). I am President of Oregon's Herpetological Society. I am fond of reading about the Battles of the Eastern Front. Especially from Authors like Richard Landwehr, Tony Le Tissier & Franz Kurowski to name a few. One of My main reasons for coming onto this site is to find resources to research a trip that I am taking to Europe this Fall. I plan on going to Germany(Berlin, I have a couple of Then & Now books), Poland(? There is supposed to be a Bunker complex in a good state in the NE of Poland, Mamerki?). Ukraine(proubly around Kiev, Great Patriotic War Museum) & Crimea(Sevastopol, Kersch & more). I have used the WW2Museums.com website to locate some Cemetary's, Monuments, Museums & such. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
