GMC CCKW in British service 1940/45

    Hello, i am looking for photo,s of a GMC353 in British or Canadian service.

    Can somebody help me?

    Welcome to the forum.

    Trucks are near the top of my favorite WWII subjects and I've never seen one. I guess CMPs had them covered?

    If you find one please post it.

    If the serial is L5581414 then it is indeed a Mack from contract SM2429 (L5581302 - L5582162)

    Notice that the last truck in this picture has two axles while the CCKW has three.

    Because i have one and i will give it a correct serial number !

    I'm sorry, but my interest is in early-war British vehicles and I don't have the knowledge to extract the information from the lists.

    However, you can search the document at the top of this sub-forum and bring up all the G.M.C. entries (don't forget the full stops). Most seem to be amphibious or searchlight bodies. I assume you'd need to find a G.S. entry ?
