Wondering if any forum members can help me with some research that I am undertaking into the 11th Battalion, Glamorgan Home Guard, 'A' Company that was drawn from the north Cardiff villages of Whitchurch, Rhiwbina and Llandaff?

From lists that I have photographed from Glamorgan Archives, it appears that there were four platoons, but I have not been able to find out what specific geographic areas (if any) that these platoons covered. The three villages are all pretty close together.

I have also been researching the 11th Battalion, 'E' Company. That comprised four troops, but I have found the geographical areas for these: 1. Tongwynlais, 2. Pentyrch, 3. Melingriffith, 4. Radyr.

I am putting together spread sheets on all the members of 'A' & 'E' companies, which will include home address, enrolment date, occupation, date of birth (not complete) plus other notes regarding transfers, discharges etc.

Should any forum members be looking for information on men who may have served in either of these two companies, feel free to drop me a message.

There are no other threads here on your topic. Google though did offer this pointer:
From: Acknowledgements and the site contact details are on: Contact Us

There is a 2011 stand-alone thread: Tin Shed Experience 1940s Museum, Laugharne, West Wales However the website is no longer in use and Google has a notice permanently closed. The entry refers to The Glamorgan Home Guard, which is no longer active, although their Facebook entry is visible: Glamorgan Home Guard

The Museum in Laugharne is closed. A great pity.
