Whilst recently in a museum archive I saw two letters to relatives from the manning and records offices in 1945 after the fighting had finished that two soldiers who had been posted missing after Arnhem were now classed as killed in action during the fighting there. The basis for this information on the official form was 'The German Official Totenliste 270'.
The Museum had written to both the current MoD and the CWGC asking for information on this document but both had replied in the negative.
Has anyone else ever come across references to this document before?
