    Did they only had embroided shouldertitles, or also worn the printed ones?

    Yep but wonder in your case if IG was only embroied but also printed

    Patrick and Philip,

    I asked my father today. He does not remember ever seeing printed ones. That of course is not to say they never existed. All he ever had was embroidered ones.

    I've had a look at a few Grenadier Guards photos & can only see what appear to be embroidered ones.
