Dear members.... I once bought a model of the German airship HINDENBURG. It had about 20 pieces in it. It took me all of a single afternoon to put together. The paint scheme wasn't exactly complex, and I finished the whole thing in the course of a weekend. I looked at the results. Other than stringing it up with fishing line, it didn't really inspire anything in me. So I decided to do the needful thing.... I hung it up in the garage and covered the rear of with petrol. I got a cigarette lighter, lit the rear and stood back, paraphrasing the commentary that everyone has heard.... "....and it's bursting into flames! This is terrible ladies and gentlemen, this is one of the worst catastrophies in the history of the world....OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!...." It was the most fun I have ever had with a plastic model.... Has anyone else ever lost patience with their purchases and done something similar?? GERMANICUS "

Guilty.... In my case it was a 1/35 Jagdtiger and half a roll of magnesium tape "acquired" (ahem!) from the chem lab at school.
Bangers up the tailpipe of jet aircraft. A FROG Buccaneer took three goes to disintegrate. They made kits to last back then.
Sank my Airfix Bismarck in a local ditch using my bow and arrow. I've still got the bow and a few arrows
