Have members visited the Internet Archive site at www.archive.org?

It does what it says on the tin, holding free, downloadable copies of books, documents, films and audio recordings.

I've used it for naval history research - mainly WW1; but it also has some excellent aircraft recognition manuals from WW2.

If you've not visited it before trying typing in World War 2 in the search box, leaving it set to "All Media Types"

    Regards

The beauty of these free (or siilly cheap) Kindle books is that you download them, read them and promptly (if they are useless) delete them.

I shall read mine this evening.

    Thanks for the tip-off :)
