Good stuff, with some nice colour footage of Wehrmacht B vehicles.
The second part's interesting, kind of surprised at just how modern the Autobahns looked, this was an advanced country they chose to throw away...

Yep! Its interesting to see that Autobahn with its signposts, almost could be anywhere in Europe today.

all the you tube videos of the day are from the lengthy propaganda newsreels from the Deutsche Wochenschau some of it remastered and sold here in the states as well as in Germany. funny it is really under the copyright of the Bundes archiv or so they think they have even mentioned they will prosecute anyone taking the reels in any form for personal publication and or sales..........

yeah right, they seem to be back in the stone ages

just how modern the Autobahns looked

When we drove down to Prague back in '93 through eastern Germany, the Autobahns really were no different .
I kept wondering who or what had driven down those roads back in the 1940s.

or flown off of them like Kurt Welters Night fighter Me 262 unit to the north and V./NJG 2's Ju 88G-6's doing up ground attacks at night from the Autobahn near Neubiberg im Bayern..........

you are very correct nothing much has changed via the raod system except more of it and the landscape has been enclosed a wee more than in the 40's.
