    Hi to all.

I'm chasing a map to the east of Fogliano, that will show all of Borga Grappa. The former only shows part of the latter. I'm easy if it's colour, or greyscale. The nice Italian army was rather good with the maps that they did around the period of 1930's onwards if I'm correct?

This thread I'm hoping is going to grow in time. I'm looking also for some photos of when the 1 Recce Regiment (1 Division) & 1SSF (1 Special Service Force) Canadians & Yanks shook hands ending the Anzio Campaign on the 25 May. Got both War Diaries of which the 1 SSF is something else. The maps are different in which I mean they are original. Full of muck, shit & finger-folds. Bliss. I must thank a forum member who sent me these many years ago. I'm guessing the yanks did there own? Must of. David, dryan67 many thanks.

1 Recce Regt have not stolen a type-writer off any Italian. For some reason the Adjutant, the I.O. and the boys' never did get there hands on a typewriter. I do have quite a few photos of these two meeting up which are staged. I would like less with the M.W.T. Clark if possible?

Someone must have a aerial photo of FOGLIANO/SEZZE if one was done? Never looked for one. Sezze is to the right of Grappa. The 1SSF are in PDF doc form which will be difficult to show on here.

    Help much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Stu.

Before I jog on with this next post: I've dropped a left one in the title. Foliano it's not for the record if anyone is thinking so? It's Fogliano. I'm off to Italy for a couple of days. Whilst there doing nothing else (I'm hoping to go and visit Borga Grappa if only to find the spot where the Beachhead ended.) I'm doing other important subjects. It's case of finding it, take some photos and have a pint in the nearest bar if possible? Time may be against me. It's a case of jumping on the bus from Anzio or, in a car. I'm not driving the latter which makes no difference. Car, zoom, zoom much faster.;):D

The file is from the History of the First Division Link-Up. 150-151. Will post the details from the 1 Recce War diary shortly. I think a google earth map will be needed in time. The Canadian 1 SSF will be tricky to show for me. Gary, are you willing to change them into a PDF document for me and post them on here?

Off to Italy in early Feb for two days only. Wiggle-on needed if possible for a answer?

P.s Ignore the map. Useless. The map that the history is saying see on page 151.

    Regards,
    Stu.
