Good afternoon everyone. I am new to this forum, as I created an account specifically to reply on this subject. Last night, amidst some old documents I was researching, I found an 'Ausweis für einheimische Hilfskräfte', belonging to a worker on Coxyde airfield during the war. The company listed on the passport is Friedr. Wasserman, from Köln. The passport was distributed to workers from that company by the Bauleitung der Luftwaffe (according to the book 'De Nieuwe Orde aan de Westkust tijdens de Duitse bezetting in WO II' this company suffered the loss of a number of workers during a heavy bombardment. I have more questions than answers regarding the passport and was wondering if someone could contact me by chat? Kind regards, Max.

    Hallo Max,

The name 'Wassermann' rings a bell. If I remember correctly (I should check), it was also the name of a German contractor involved in the building of the Atlantikwall. Perhaps it's just a coincidence though.
Would it be possible to post a scan of the document?

    Mvg,
    Christian

    Hallo Christian,

    Hi,

The aircraft which crashed near 'Normandie' restaurant at the Koninklijke baan was W3332 Spitfire Vb, pilot Morgan.

Best regards from another part of Belgium,

    Luc
